Return Policy

Highland Fashionista takes returns on most eligible items.  Most of our items have between a 7 to 30 day return policy, depending on the manufacturer or nature of the item. Return time frame estimates are all listed in the individual listings

  • New items generally have a 7 - 14 day return policy
  • Vintage items have a 30 day return policy 
  • Customized and made-to-order items are generally not returnable; check the individual listings for product-specific return information
  • Shipping is generally paid by the customer, with exceptions. Any items that include a free returns label will be indicated in the item description. 

The Return Process
To process your return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused (with the exception of vintage items), with tags on, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To request a return, use this link to CONTACT HIGHLAND FASHIONISTA , and we can verify where you will send it, and provide any labelling if your item is eligible.

Once your return has been accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to access a label or where to send your package. Items returned to us without first requesting a return are often not accepted by the warehouse, so it's important to reach-out beforehand so we can communicate with them to expect your item.

*Please note, for hygiene reasons, the following items MUST be returned in the following condition:

•Swimwear items returned must have the original hygiene strip intact, or they will not be accepted.

•Socks or hosiery must be in the original sealed packaging (or however they were shipped) in order to be returned. 

•EARRINGS Must be sealed in the original packaging, card or box in order to be returned.

Damages and Other Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact Highland Fashionista immediately if the item is defective, damaged, does not meet the description, or you receive the wrong item. We will work with you to ensure that your issue gets fully resolved. 

If you are unhappy with your purchase (hey, it happens), please reach out. We first and foremost put an emphasis on the customer experience, and if you feel like you have been sent something that is sub-par, we want to hear about it and work to resolve the issue.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Personalized orders (monogramming, custom printing and embroidery) are non-returnable, so please double and triple-check your handiwork before submitting your order. If however there has been a mistake on your custom order, get in touch.

While it is unlikely you will actually find any of the following items in this shop, there are certain types of items which cannot be returned; perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

*We do not accept returns on final clearance sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
In addition to our own curated inventory, we also work with multiple vendors, so the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. 

European Union 14 Day Cooling Off Period 
Notwithstanding the above, any customer with merchandise shipped into the European Union (EU) has the right to cancel or return the order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once your return has been received and inspected, and will let you know when the refund has been processed.  You will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take banks and credit card companies time to process and post refunds per their individual policies.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve processed your refund, please contact Highland Fashionista as soon as possible. For that matter, if for any reason whatsoever you aren't satisfied, please contact us. We're here to help.
